Terms of Use

Terms of use

Last updated: May 2026 · Governed by the laws of New York

These terms govern your use of AREXAM (arexam.com) and any services provided through the website. By creating an account, purchasing access, or using any part of the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use AREXAM.

1. About AREXAM

AREXAM is an independent online study platform that provides exam-style practice questions, explanations, flashcards, and related study resources for candidates preparing for the ARE 5.0.

AREXAM is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to NCARB, AIA, Prometric, or any architectural licensing board. All trademarks and organization names belong to their respective owners.

2. Who can use this site

You must be at least 18 years old to use AREXAM. By using the site, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. What you’re purchasing

AREXAM sells access to exam-style practice question sets and study materials for the ARE 5.0. When you purchase a division or bundle, you receive:

  • Personal, non-transferable access to the purchased content
  • One year of access from the date of purchase
  • Access through your registered account only

Your purchase grants you a limited license to use the content for your own personal study only. Access may not be shared, resold, transferred, or used by another person.

4. Original study content

AREXAM content is independently created for educational study purposes. Our practice questions are designed to help candidates understand AIA contract concepts and ARE 5.0-style reasoning, but they do not reproduce, copy, or provide actual NCARB exam questions.

Question format, difficulty, topic weighting, and wording may differ from the actual ARE 5.0. AREXAM should be used as a supplemental study resource and not as a replacement for official NCARB materials, AIA Contract Documents, professional experience, or other primary references.

5. Refund policy

Because AREXAM provides immediate access to digital content, all purchases are final and non-refundable once access has been granted. If you experience a technical issue that prevents access, contact us at [email protected] and we will work to resolve it.

6. Account responsibility

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your username, password, or account access with anyone else.

AREXAM is not liable for unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to protect your login credentials. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Intellectual property

All content on AREXAM — including questions, answer choices, explanations, flashcards, written materials, page design, graphics, layout, and software features — is owned by AREXAM or its creators and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, modify, scrape, record, screenshot for distribution, or use AREXAM content to create competing products or study materials. Written permission is required for any use beyond personal exam preparation.

8. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Share, redistribute, resell, or publicly post AREXAM content
  • Share your account or allow another person to use your access
  • Copy, record, scrape, download, or reproduce questions or explanations
  • Use AREXAM content for commercial training, tutoring, or competing products
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, interfere with, or extract data from the site
  • Use the site in a way that violates any applicable law or these terms

9. No guarantee of exam results

AREXAM provides study materials to help you prepare for the ARE 5.0. We do not guarantee that use of our materials will result in passing any exam, improving a score, obtaining licensure, or achieving any professional outcome.

Exam performance depends on many factors outside our control, including your experience, study habits, test-taking ability, knowledge of primary references, and preparation with official NCARB materials.

10. Educational use only

AREXAM content is provided for educational and study purposes only. Nothing on this site should be treated as legal advice, professional advice, licensing advice, or a substitute for reviewing official contract documents, codes, regulations, or NCARB resources.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

AREXAM is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or free from technical problems.

We try to provide accurate and useful study content, but we do not warrant that all content will be complete, current, or free from errors. Use the site at your own risk.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AREXAM shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, reliance on, or inability to use the site or its content.

AREXAM’s total liability for any claim related to your use of the site shall not exceed the amount you paid to AREXAM during the 12 months before the claim arose.

13. Privacy

Use of AREXAM may involve the collection and processing of account, payment, and usage-related information. Any personal information we collect is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information.

14. Platform updates

AREXAM may update, revise, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site, content, features, or services at any time. We may also correct errors, update study materials, or modify how content is organized or accessed.

15. Termination

You may stop using AREXAM at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these terms, misuse the platform, share your account, or infringe AREXAM’s intellectual property rights.

Termination does not entitle you to a refund if access has already been granted.

16. Dispute resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of AREXAM shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at [email protected].

If unresolved, disputes shall be settled by binding arbitration in New York City, New York, under the laws of the State of New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of AREXAM after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
